Periodic Loss of Function Keys

The function keys (F4-F9) periodically stop working. If I select an item from the menu, such as Chart | Chart Settings, then they all start working again. But only for a short while, and then they stop working again.

I've tried Global Settings | Customize Keyboard Shortcuts | Clear All Shortcuts, and then Set All to Defaults, but this did not resolve the issue.

I'm on version 2028, but this has been going on for several months now, over a number of versions.

This is not a version specific issue. It must be an operating system level issue. We also do not observe this problem. The problem is the keyboard events are not being received by the window. That is operating system specific.

We did look over the code and do not see a problem but we are going to add a keyboard shortcut handler at another level on the main window to catch the keyboard events there in case they are not coming to the appropriate window.

We do think this additional handler has a good chance of resolving the problem.

I've upgraded to version 2042, and the problem persists. Is this still on your to do list?

Nothing for us to do. This is going to be an operating system level problem. Not anything we would have any control over.
