I have 3 charts in a chartbook that will show lines for open positions and attached orders. The fourth chart only shows the attached order lines. The current open position line is missing. And, this only occurs on live trades. In a Sim trade all lines on all charts appear as expected. Can't find a chart setting that would cause this. What am I missing? Thanks.

Go to the Trade Window for that chart:
Basic Trading and the Trade Window: Opening Trade Window for Chart or Trade DOM

What is the average price of the Trade Position?:
Basic Trading and the Trade Window: Main/C >> Position Quantity@Price: / P: (Compact tab)

Opened a trade window for that chart (in a live trade, opened from another chart).

All fields on the trade window for that chart are blank.

This would indicate that either of the Symbol of the chart or the Trade Account are not set to match the other chart the order/trade was placed from. Refer to:
Chart Trading and the Chart DOM: Viewing Orders and Trade Position on the Chart / Trade DOM

Yes, I have read that reference.

Symbol and Trade Account are the same on all four charts. In this case using symbol GCG20_FUT_COMEX for chart, and MGCG20_FUT_COMEX for trading. With a check in the box - "Use As Trade Only Symbol" (all four charts are the same).

On the misbehaving chart I can see working orders. I can cancel and move/adjust working orders on all charts (even the misbehaving chart). I just can't see the open position line on that chart. I did open a DOM for that chart and could see the open position and working orders on the ladder.

We really need to look at this with remote assistance to see what you are seeing because there should not be any trouble here. We really need to see this ourselves and see exactly what is happening.

Please make sure your telephone number is set here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=ManageAccountInfo

Please confirm and then we can call.

But actually first make sure this Chart Setting is set far enough back in time to include all of the fills which make up the current position:
Chart Settings: Order Fills Start Date-Time (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Trading menu)

Account information (phone number) is correct.

All charts go back far enough to see the fills of the last position.

After further consideration, I don't think I want to pursue this matter further.

I originally thought it was a setting I may have missed that was the reason for the Open Position Line not showing.

When I'm managing a live trade, troubleshooting an issue is the last thing on my mind.

I can draw a horizontal line on the chart to mark my entry point. Everything else works fine.

Thanks for your help.

In regards to this, how is Open Position Average Price set in the Chart Settings of the chart where you are not seeing the position line:
Chart Settings: Open Position Average Price (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Trading menu)

There is a difference between charts. The one not showing the Open Position Line is set to "Use External Service Open Position Average Price". The others are set to "Use First In First Out...".

Ok therefore we found the problem. Use "Use First In First Out".
