Hi, I have just switched from Win 7 Pro to Win 10 Pro and am seeing on average twice the CPU usage for each instance of SC. Can anyone offer advice on performance optimisations for windows 10, or is this just an unfortunate consequence that I have to deal with? Thanks. |

Ok thanks, some windows did overlap screens from different GPUs, so that certainly helped a bit, maybe now only 50% increase in CPU usage. Are there any other things that can be done? Win 10 seems to be favouring one or two cores, whereas Win 7 distributed load evenly. This seems illogical, but maybe it is more efficient? I understand this is probably beyond the scope of support, as these are OS related issues, I am interested to know of other users experiences when switching to Win 10. Maybe I revert to Win 7 until I am forced by Microsoft to switch. |

From my experience the added usage is because Win10 is actually more efficient in operating Sierra. This can be tested by pushing the limits of the program and you'll see that via Win10 you can use about 50% more of Sierra's capability

How did you come to this conclusion/can you share your testing details between 7 and 10? |

Ok, so it turns out that my problems were being caused by a non-Microsoft anti-virus program, even though the program was set with various exceptions relating to sierra chart. This only affected Win 10, my Win 7 installation with the same AV software has no problem. Performance in Win 10 now much better. Sorry for wasting time with problems relating to AV software. |
