[Programming Help] - Sierra chart not allowing data pre 7th October

Hi there

Good spirit and health to you.

I have just recently started the Sierra trial, as a student for the APTTP trader training program. My trainer recommended the Sierra platform after adopting your software and being both a keen and proficient user of your software for several years now.

During the installation of Sierra on my laptop, We came across an issue neither he or I could resolve. This problem has stopped the effective use of use Sierra, and therefore my ability to trade.

The issue is Sierra will not allow data to be loaded prior to the 7th of October 2019.

I have attached 2 screenshots to:

pic 1) Demonstrate I have tried the right number in the max days to download

pic 2) Demonstrate the chart settings, I have 30 days set to display load, but Sierra will not show beyond the 7th of October.

Both I and my trainer have tried to change the date range in the file, in the top left corner, but it will not change. The window just keeps static at 2019-10-0.

I have an active IQ subscription with the latest client and software download etc, no issues there.

ps I am having a nightmare trying to upload the screenshots to you. I have read all the instructions of uploading pix but none seem applicable. The problem is I cannot access any of the edit/upload buttons in the Sierra program once I have opened the Data/trade service screen or the Chart settings screen on top of the main page. I have opened these screens on top of the main page to take a screenshot to show you the current settings and how they do not change once I've entered data into them as described in this message. I cannot access any of the tabs to screenshot, edit, or forward pics once I open the data trade pop up box or chart settings the pop-up box on top of the main page. I have tried to use my own screenshot program but your website will not allow me to upload these I have tried in both jpeg and png formats.


Please advise.

We see you are using IQ Feed. You will need to contact IQ Feed about this . The data limitation is coming from their side based upon the settings we see.

But first thing we want you to do is to try this:
Re-download all the data in the chart by going to the chart and selecting "Edit >> Delete All Data and Download". You just need to do this once per symbol and not for each chart.

If that does not give you the all the data that you need, you need to ask IQ Feed.

Please consider using the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed:

You definitively are not going to have a problem like this with our own data feed and you will also save a lot of money per month.
