I have been a long term indirect customer through Transact and since last month a very happy direct one of your Futures Order Routing through TT. The change is absolutely worth it. Thanks. 3 years ago I made the following request: I would like to suggest the addition ( or modification of an existing ) tool. Sometimes a move in the market is caused by a very specific piece of news. I miss having the possibility of attaching a small marker to the chart which when clicked upon opens an editable text window where I could input a few lines explaining the situation. The current text tool is not suitable for such purpose for it clogs the chart very quickly with text that I don't necessarily want to have this text visible at all times, but only when I click on the marker. Such a tool would make my life WAY EASIER with keeping market reports handily linked to the instrument I'm trading. I would appreciate if your development team could consider adding this feature in the builds to come. The engineering team replied that "something like that will eventually come" and until now... Now I'm begging for this tool to be implemented. Surely it can't be that difficult for you guys ( if it is, pardon my ignorance re coding ). Also, I plot Commitments of Traders data using your spreadsheet feature and it works fine but there is a nagging problem: if only I could plot each instrument's weekly price data starting on Wednesday and ending on Tuesday so as to coincide with COT release time frames ! Can this be implemented or maybe I'm asking for too much ? In any case, I don't want to miss the opportunity to thank you all for the wonderful piece of software Sierra Chart is. |

We will look at modifying the Text tool with a new option which will support hidden text which can be viewed in some way. Maybe clicking on a square beside the visible text. In the next release we will support hidden text with the Text tool and then when you left click on the displayed "T" it will switch between hidden and non-hidden. This is just a very basic implementation which we hope should meet your needs.
