Using Data Feed Different From Broker`s (To Trade)

Hi there. Is it possible to use Sierra's data feed (or a 3rd party like DTN IQfeed) on the same broker´s platform you use to place the trades?

For example, if you open an account at infinity futures you will receive the Infinity AT platform installer, it will install Sierra Chart and then when you launch it (you put your login and pass) then you are able to open Sierra Chart and it´s automatically being fed with Transact data.

But what if I want to use Sierra´s data (or IQfeed)? Is it possible to have this data in broker´s platform and still place the trades on this same instance of Sierra?

Or I will have to install two instances of Sierra, one is the broker´s installer (and where I can place the trades) and another instance the installer from here just for analysis?

Thanks

First, we are not recommending IQ Feed. Please do not use that as we are not going to provide any support for it and it is overpriced and there simply is no reason to use it at all.

This is the data feed you will want to use:
Denali Exchange Data Feed

You can use this data feed even when you are using Sierra Chart provided by your broker.

Thanks guys, that is great news.

Just to be perfect clear, you said "You can use this data feed even when you are using Sierra Chart provided by your broker", does it mean I can place trades too? I don´t have like to switch back to broker´s data feed to place the trades? One thing has nothing to do with the other?

I noticed here on the list of brokers that have integration with Sierra it´s missing Stage 5 Trading Corp. They offer Sierra too so, I was just wondering if you haven´t updated the list, or at the moment there is no support for them?

"The Sierra Chart Data Feeds support full and seamless integration with all supported Trading services:

TransAct/Infinity Live account
Interactive Brokers Live account
Rithmic Live account
CTS T4 Live account
TT FIX Live account
Sierra Chart Order Routing Service
TD Ameritrade Live account (Must be funded with at least 500 USD)
GAIN Capital (OEC Trader) Live account
CQG Live account"

Talking about those guys here:

@40winks

Yeah, I read in futures.io forum that transact data is not very good, so I was looking for other broker. Even though the guys at infinity are very nice, I think they need to change their data provider, but since we can use the Denali data in their platform, perhaps no need to worry about transact´s bad data and service.

Yes if you are using a supported trading service and they are listed here:
Supported Data and Trading Services

Stage 5 would not be given in that list above because that gives only those trading services that provide trading technology. They are just an introducing broker. They can be used though.
