Backtesting feature?

I don't think this option exists, however it would be very nice for those of us that use backtesting a lot.

Would it be possible to set up a replay "Without" having the chart walkthrough ever bar (at whatever speed)? Basically, turn off the display of the walkthrough temporarily. But instead, just perform the replay on the data (in the background) and show the completed results in the trade statistics? Also, in addition, then possibly refresh the chart when completed to see the trades?

Seems the walking through of the display/graphics is very time-consuming. Especially when one wants to backtest a year for instance. Not sure why its so slow since all resources being used are extremely low (CPU, GPU, Disk, Memory, Network, etc), including graphics cards.

I could even imagine a % progress being displayed in the replay window based upon start bar number and chart last bar number.

You can hide the chart during the back test but it is not going to make any difference performance wise, or at least very little. Refer to:
