Is there a way to extend Volume Profile Value area high and low lines to the right edge, all the way to the end of chart? It comes in useful in periods of consolidation for couple of days. I'm aware that I can extend value area lines to both edges in Volume Profile study, but that is limited in that it only plots same color for high and low. And I don't want the lines extended to the left either. And "End of Period" and "end of window" do the same thing for what I want to use it ( multiple days ). And I don't want the extended only to future intersection either. I know I can use Volume Value Area Lines study, but I did't figure out how to do that. If it's possible at all. Thank you. |

Just to clarify so we're on the same page. I don't mean for the lines to extend beyond current price. I would like them to extend just to the current price bar. And if it's not supported, is it possible to add that option to VbP study as "Extand to the right" option in the drop down menu of "Extend Value Area" and "Extend point of control", or Volume Value Area Lines study? |

John and Engineering Team, stair step to edge is useful, thank you, but can we extend these lines to the edge when using vbp in the Study/Price Overlay Study? To clarify, currently when in overlay, the line does not extend past the End Time, and im trying to have the line display to the edge even if price moves through the line. What is the source study that you are overlaying? And what do you mean by the "End Time"?

You can not do this using the "Draw Styles", as you have found out. The easiest way to do this is to use the "Extend Bar Value Until Future Intersection" study. You will need to set it to be "Based On" the Study/Price Overlay and you will need 2 copies, one for the Value Area High and one for the Value Area Low.
