ok I now have clear proof that your charts sometimes give me bad prints for the A opening session see MP for RTY using two different charts I have. Look at data on each chart for 6-21 friday A period. In the one chart with the colourful charts it is correct with A open near top of A and the high 156.54. In the second chart you CLEARLY see the same date, and all the columns correct except for A. Look at A in that chart it is 156.10!!!! Don't tell me to take off the studies, just look and compare the charts. They are clearly different. The high was 54 and not 10. That is really a huge error. I know you are thinking what is she on about, but look at the two screen shots. Night and day! thanks guys

If these are in the same instance of Sierra Chart, the difference would be because there is a difference in the Chart Settings or the Study Settings.

You need to attach that Chartbook so we can look. Here are the instructions for that:

Hi Guys,
I don't understand what you are asking me to do. I went to the link and it gives instructions for sending you a single chart in a chartbook, is that what you want? I have moved the two charts into one chartbook and put them up side by side. And took a photo so you could see them. It can't be the settings are different. Look at how every other part of the charts is exact. The chart on the left I used as my main RTY chart so if that data had been wrong on the day for 40 pts I sure as heck would have noticed. It seems that the data must drop out overnight or sometime. Remember I am actively trading RTY if the left-hand chart which is my primary go-to chart had been off by 40 ticks I would have seen that at the time as umm it would have been totally wrong. Right?

Here is the photo(I dont see it attached but it said it did)

god I am useless at this

Hi,
I was away this weekend for a wedding will try and do what you ask now.God willing. Have just looked at the two charts, one is called RTY-201909...(that is the faulty one and remember is my primary trading vehicle for RTY. Unless I was drunk or brain dead how could I have not notice the chart was 50!!! ticks off in the all important first half hour of trading. Again, the short answer is I would have and the chart must have been updating correctly. How the data would then drop out I don't know but I could not have traded off a chart 50 ticks offside!. The other chart that is correct is ES DAILY TPO(yes yes it has the wrong name of product but I don't know how to change it).

I really look forward to you digging into the settings because no setting I can think of would chop off 50ticks of info in the first half hour of the RTH open...

Karen

ps i hope i did it is says shared(1).Cht in that pop up box but I dont see it here. OMG i hate this...thank you guys!

We received the chartbook, but the symbols in the chartbook do not match up with the images you attached previously. In the images, the chart numbers are 1 and 2 (you can see this in the top left of the image, after the symbol name is the pound sign (#) followed the by chart number. In these images both charts have the symbol RTY-201909-GLOBEX-USD.

In the attached chartbook, chart #1 is the symbol NQ-201909-GLOBEX, and Chart #2 is RTY-201909-GLOBEX-USD, so these are not the same charts as the images were from. Also, the two charts that are both RTY symbols in the attached chartbook are from different contract months. One is the symbol RTY-201906-GLOBEX-USD (chart #8) and RTY-201909-GLOBEX-USD (Chart #2).

In the end, there is no way for us to compare the TPO charts, as we just do not have the right charts. If you can provide the chartbook containing the right symbols then we can take a look and see what might be going on.

Hi Guys,
I am sending you a photo of what my screen looks like for 'shared(1)' There are 5 charts, none of which has anything to do with RTY June 19. The charts you want to compare are the second chart 'RTY-201909...' and the last chart named 'ES DAILY TPO'. Is this not what your uploaded file looks like?

I have just closed Sierra and saved the workspace and I will try to resend 'shared' again. I will do this in 10 min as I have domestic things to see to.

I APPRECIATE YOUR TIME, believe me once you see what I see you know I am not being crazy or stupid. Thank you!

We see where the problem is. In Chart #2 you have your Evening Session enabled and your session times set to:
Primary: 08:30:00 - 15:15:00
Evening: 17:00:00 - 08:30:00

You also have the option Exclude Evening Session Profiles Except for Last Day set to Yes.

Due to this combination, the TPO profile was removing the evening data from the calculation, which included the 08:30:00 bar. Therefore, you lost that information in your profile in that chart, which is why the column of A's was different

Just change the evening session time to end at 08:29:59 and everything will be fine.

Here is the documentation for the Exclude Evening Session Profiles Except for Last Day:
Time Price Opportunity (TPO) Profile Charts: Exclude Evening Session Profiles Except For Last Day

I know I am not supposed to write back and say thank you, but THANK YOU SO MUCH. I am probably your stupidest tech client here, and I do try hard to not bother you. I never ever would have found this. I will make the changes you say. I am glad that there was something so you didn't think I was crazy. Not crazy just a dope when it come to this.

Thanks again, I will try sooooo hard not to contact you again! Karen

ps In my defense(which there is none except I am stupid) I didn't create these charts, but got them from another customer. Imagine poor him when he had to walk me thru loading them up into my Sierra account hahaha. He was ready to kill himself.
