Hi guys, from your release notes I noticed you're currently working on the Market Depth Historical Graph. Any chance of adding an option for transparency so the horizontal bars 'play nicely' with other graphics on the chart? For example, text from the Zig Zag study is always blocked. And setting drawing objects to plot above studies also plots them above bars...not great when the objects are filled.

Many thanks!!

You should not be having the problem you are stating. The Market Depth Historical Graph is always drawn before any other studies, so any studies that are placed on the chart are drawn above the Market Depth Historical Graph, as opposed to following the order in which the studies are displayed in the Studies to Graph list.

The link to the image below is of one of our charts with the Moving Average, Zig Zag, and Market Depth Historical Graph studies listed in that order in the Charts to Graph list. You will see that the Moving Average is below the Zig Zag, but both studies are drawn above the Market Depth Historical Graph.

Here's a screenshot of a chart with this issue. A couple of examples on this chart of the Market Depth Historical Graph plotting on top of the Zig Zag's text are highlighted with a red rectangle. This also shows the Market Depth Historical Graph plotting on top of drawing objects. The Horizontal Line drawn at 58.36 would be completely hidden if the Market Depth Historical Graph's bar extended to the right edge of the chart. While the bars shown here are extensions of yesterday's last recorded quantities, this also occurs in real-time. A chartbook file is attached.

Ok, we see what is happening. The Zig Zag study draws the text labels as Text Drawings. Therefore, you would need to uncheck (deselect) the option under Chart >> Chart Settings >> Advanced Settings for Draw Non-Highlight Drawings Underneath Main Graph and Studies.

You will find the documentation on this setting here:
Chart Settings: Draw Non-Highlight Chart Drawings Underneath Main Graph and Studies (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Chart Drawings menu)

Great, thanks John, that fixed the issue with the Zig Zag text. Unfortunately that also caused horizontal lines to plot on top of the chart bars. Any fix for this? Is there a setting somewhere to "Always plot chart bars on top?" I couldn't find it with a search. Thanks again for the help!!

Sorry, there is just the one option available for Non-Highlight drawings (Highlight Drawings are the geometric shapes such as circles and rectangles). Since the Zig-Zag study actually puts the text on as a drawing, it is controlled through the same setting as the other non-highlight drawings.
