Hi
I'm with SC real time data, and connected to IB Trading Service.
How do I get options quotes in SC?
1) Following the Futures Option symbol guide in SC website, this is what I should be specifying in my SC quoteboard: 6B-FOP-201907-1.28-C-GLOBEX , which is the 1.28 July call for 6B (GBP futures). By the way, the expiration in the symbol above is the option expiration, not the underlying future expiration, right?
Typing that directly into the quoteboard does nothing.

2) I can see in the symbol list in SC there's a category 'Futures Options' with the word 'SC exchange data' in brackets. Then a list below, for ex, 6B~.FUT_OPT.CME

a) clicking on this one, does nothing, even after clicking 'get options, and the ok button is greyed out
b) what does the bracket mean 'SC exchange data'? all the symbols for all categories are from the SC real time data service, why is it specified here explicitly?is there a different meaning?
c) the list is not matched to the IB symbol list as per the specifications, how do I match the above the IB symbols, so I can place orders?

3) Provided the above is resolved, how can I get quotes for spreads and more complex strategies, for example a calendar spread, o a straddle? I'm not subscribed to IB data, I'm subscribed to SC Real time data, so need to see the quotes in SC before submitting an order in IB.

4) is there option-specific charting functionality in SC? P&L graphs, IV, volatility skews, etc
---

bottom line is I want quotes in SC for future options symbols (or any other option for that matter) and I want to have a proper match between SC and IB so I can place orders, including spreads and more complex strategies...doable?

thanks

Just to add...
I also tried connecting to SC ALL services as trading service, to try get see the quote
I sued the symbol code: B6U1280C
As it was specified here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChart_RealTime_And_Historical_Symbols.php&SymbolsPage=FuturesOptions&RootSymbol=B6#

Didn't work. "Symbol settings not found for current service"
Even after connecting to SC - All services, clicking on 6B~.FUT_OPT.CME under futures option in the symbol list (quoteboard --> find symbol), wouldn't do anything.

Please advise

thanks

We are definitively declining support for this.

For futures options data and trading you need to use this service:
Sierra Chart / Trading Technologies Futures Order Routing Service

We will be completing the conformance with TT soon in regards to futures options.

However, you can access Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed CME options data when using Interactive Brokers as explained here:
Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed: Futures Options

Be sure to go through the step-by-step instructions.

And we did get option symbols for 6B~.FUT_OPT.CME

Thanks... did work... probably needed to be on active session to bring the options list.
One quick question though....

1) where can I find an explanation of the terminology used in the list offered here. For ex, "2BPM19 C1250.FYT_OPT.CME" vs "GBUH20 C1310.FUT_OPT.CME".

2)the above symbol codes don't seem to correspond to those here. https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChart_RealTime_And_Historical_Symbols.php&SymbolsPage=FuturesOptions&RootSymbol=B6#

3) how can I differentiate those options that expire sooner than the underlying future? There is one date specified in the description, and it should be that of the future.

please advise

thanks

1. Ask the CME.

2. Those are going to get removed.

3. Ask the CME.
