I scan 200 stock symbols each day and when I click on the symbol I have to wait for prior historical data to download. Is there a way to download all of the symbols at once so I can quickly scroll through the symbols once the download is complete?

Is this for a Historical Daily or Intraday chart?

Therefore, use this command:
Edit Menu: Edit >> Download Data for Associated Watch List Symbols

When I try to select 'download data for all symbols in watchlist' it is grayed out. It won't allow me to select it. I opened a watchlist from a chart that has daily bars and then tried to do it from that chart from the 'edit' drop down. It wouldnt allow me to.

As long as the active chart is a Historical Daily chart and that chart has a list of symbols set in its Symbol List, then that command will be active and data will be downloaded for them.

That is not a Historical Daily chart but Daily bars built from Intraday data.

In this particular case add the symbols to the Intraday File Update List:
Global Settings Menu: Intraday File Update List (Global Settings menu)

To have the Intraday data downloaded for them when connected to the data feed.
