SC start up issues

Hi, i've been having lots of trouble when i first start up Sierra Charts and also when i open a new chartbook
My main problem is that as soon as i try to start Sierra it automatically starts to open my chartbooks and then stops responding (Not responding) it then hangs for around 20-30 mins before eventually opening. In this time my disk usage sits in the 90%+ region and paralyses my whole system.
Im using the latest version available and i'm closing all other apps on my computer when trying to start but it doesnt help. I dont have any other issues with any other software that im using, only SC.
I'm running windows 10 if that helps.
I'm getting to the point that if I can't resolve this soon i will reluctantly have to start looking for alternative charting software.

You do not need to use another program. You have fully the ability to resolve the problem once it is understood what is causing it. We recommend starting a new Chartbook and gradually building up the complexity until you realize what you are doing which is causing the problem.
