posted reply to https://www.sierrachart.com/SupportBoard.php?ThreadID=31105 and the thread got deleted?

anyway...

i save a copy of my charts almost everyday to make sure the changes made to the charts will load ok before i continue to make more changes daily to my charts

since last night, my charts fail to load and i get a YELLOW "waiting for historical data to download" on many of them while sierra freezes

i tested every version of the .cht i have and had to go all the way to back to march 17th charts and it finally loaded

so something changed Friday night or Saturday night ... that made my march 18th .cht versions until april 12th versions not work...

any idea what i can do to make them load again?

charts working again now that i'm loading them sun night...

looks like data service on sat is slower or something so charts can't load?

not sure...

but the same charts i tried to load 50 times yesterday and could not, now loads without any changes (can't change the .cht cause program freezes)

hummmm

The thread got deleted because you posted in someone else's thread and they are a bad unwanted customer.

It sounds like the problem you are having is a high CPU load condition based on the chart and study configuration you are using. So in this particular case refer to this help topic for things to check:
High CPU Usage | Inactive User Interface | Poor Performance | Long Time to Load Chart Data | Charts Reloading Often

You probably will want to use multiple instances of Sierra Chart to distribute processing load.

This issue has nothing to do with the server in any way.

multiple instances helped

however, for instance 1, i tried many of the suggestions on High CPU Usage | Inactive User Interface | Poor Performance | Long Time to Load Chart Data | Charts Reloading Often but still it's running at 12-15% CPU

the data is no longer lagging since spliting out some charts to instance 2 though

so instance 1 running at 12-15% is ok? or should i continue to try to lower it?
