[Programming Help] - Bar Time Matching Method Selection

I am using Study Price Overlay Study to carry ema8 from 4Hour chart to 15Minute chart. I use candlestick bars in both charts. Days to load settings are different. As I do not use unfixed bartime charts, I set Data Copy Mode as Use Latest Value from Corresponding Timeframe. I am confused while selecting Bar Time Matching Method as two options create different results on the chart. I read the documentation Study/Price Overlay Study but It is still not clear for me. Which option should I set and why? I have an alert formula testing ema8 of 4H chart touch of price in 15Minute chart. Logical ANDed with some other studies at 15Minute chart. If I test ema8 touch at 4H chart I still need to overlay it to 15M chart so I still need to decide Bar Time Matching Method. |

Which one of containing/nearest matching method do you recommend to overlay higher timeframe-source chart to lower timeframe-destination chart? Thanks

It is a pity that access to the summary window through ACSIL is not possible. This and hundreds of similar questions would solve that. There are values in one place from all charts. Referring to cells in this window through the program would be perfect. We asked for this one year ago, and it was rejected. |
