The issue is not with DTN. Our data provider Barchart is having some Internet connectivity issues. We do use their network for our servers. They have been informed about it, and they said they are urgently taking care of this.

We do not want to go into details, but we are going to mitigate this problem by using a different provider soon with redundancy. This is something we have been actively working on.

As we said, we are working to get another provider with full redundancy. These problems are just not good. And this will get solved.

not sure if related, but it's like since this incident, there seems to be a lag and my charts are no longer updating according to the "chart update interval"?

i'm used to seeing the bid/ask as i have the "chart update interval in milliseconds" set to 10 and all was working great (i see multiple updates within a second)

but now, i'm seeing the dom update every second (similar speed to what i see on the sc replay) which is too slow for real-time trading...

any ideas?

No it is not related.

We definitely do not recommend a 10 ms update interval. It really should not be less than 100 ms and only set that on the particular charts you need:
Chart Settings: Chart Update Interval in Milliseconds (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Display >> Chart Update Interval menu)

yes, i understand.

my global update interval is set to 500 ms

i have 2 doms and they are the only charts set to 10ms...

they were working great until 2 days ago!!

now, they seem to lag and update as slow as the other charts

To whatever extent this is caused by the Barchart network issue that occurred two days ago, which would seem hard to believe, it will get resolved. they said there is a hardware replacement they need to do and we are seeing if they completed that but this really seems hard to believe this is causing the issue.

At the time you mentioned this, we checked the data feed and it was very clear there were numerous updates within a single second.
