I'm trying to get more SPY data using a historical chart, I have CQG and Sierra real time data feed both live. It only let's me go back to 2012 even when I change days to load and use date range to further back. Any ideas? |

The data definitely goes back to 1993. In Chart >> Chart Settings, what is the Chart Data Type set to for the daily chart? And also check the Days to Load setting.

It is set to historical and the days to load is set to 20000. Even if I switch it to Use Date Range back to 1993, it still wont show up. It shows on a weekly chart but not on daily.

That does not make sense. The data has to be there if you see it on a Weekly chart. Open a new Historical Daily chart for that symbol. And set the Days to Load to 0.

Nope that didn't work. It won't let me increase spacing past Nov 2011 when I have historical daily chart selected. It does show up when I switch to a weekly historical. It shows up in the spreadsheet study on a daily chart back to 1993 also but just not on the actual chart.

We are looking at this post in disbelief. There simply should not be any problem here whatsoever. It appears as though you are expecting something which is not supported. You need to use the scrollbar at the bottom of the chart to scroll back in time. You can also press the Home key to go to the beginning of the chart. You will find that when Days to Load is set to 0 all of the available data is going to be loaded in the chart and you will find when you press the Home key and go to the beginning of the chart you will see data back to 1993. Thanks. I've had Sierra for many years and use it daily so I'm pretty aware of how to scroll. I've tried everything and it still will not scroll for any stocks past November 2011 on a daily historical chart. I've made sure its updated to current version. I've made sure no indicators are selected, even though if I add Spreadsheet Study, it shows all the data back to 1993 but it doesn't show it on the chart. I've check all the settings to make sure nothing is checked. I checked everything for about a hour. Not sure what the issue is. |
