[Programming Help] - Receiving Fewer Alerts

Alerts are an integral part of my trading plan. However, I have not been able to use them as I'd like. When an alert fires, I would like the result to remain true and only receive one alert. Currently, I have "Reset Alert Condition on New Bar" unchecked; however, I continue to receive an alert on each new bar. I've even tried to use "Evaluate on Bar Close" in combination with "Reset Alert Condition on New Bar" in the event that my formula returns false mid-bar. Any update here? I have a weekly alert overlayed onto a min chart. The weekly alert remains constantly true, however, I receive an alert message/email every x minutes. I'd like to receive only one alert per week. (alert must be overlayed onto the min chart for other purposes, so I cannot just have the alert fire on the Week). thank you |
