how to make it so that on the left scale you could control the scale and zero mark of one chart
and on the right scale you can control the scale and zero mark of the other chart INDEPENDENT

have just run into the same issue. having numbers print on a left scale is better than nothing but why not finish the job by making it interactive? i'm pretty sure i saw a post on this forum dating back to 2016 on the same issue. ETA was "in about a year."

found it:

Left side scale

perhaps on the study "setting and inputs" tab there could be a check box for "use left scale" (see attached png). when checked the left scale would be shown on the chart for that study, and the left scale would be linked to that study's "scale" settings from the same "setting and inputs" tab = very intuitive for a busy trader. in addition, the left scale could be dragged and resized in the same way as the right scale (eg, LCLICK+DRAG for vertical movement and CTRL+LCLICK+DRAG for vertical scaling).

thanks a lot for bumping this up on your list!!

thank you for getting a start on this so quickly. if i put a couple of studies in region 2 & set each study's scale to "independent" or "automatic" the left scale will function just like the right scale does when dragged. have i gotten this correct so far?

Haven't heard back on my previous email so let me just clarify that the point of this thread is to have independent left and right scales: independent scaling and independent moving. Currently the left scale and right scale are not independent: they move and scale together. I understand this is the initial release and there's more work to be done.

We are releasing a new revision of 1913 where this now works properly but it is necessary when using the left side scale that the graph which is setting those scale values has a Scale Range of Independent.

thank you for the update. please see attached animated gif for current behavior on my machine. once the left scale has been adjusted either by moving it or scaling it, the scale snaps back to its original location. also, if the price series is moved, then the left scale series will snap to the new price series location. maybe i've got something set wrong...?

edit: looks like the gif won't upload

A video is not helpful:

We cannot reproduce anything like this. It does not make sense either. Provide that chart by following these instructions here:

I wont post a gif/video either, per the rules, but I am also having problems with this.

I can independently re-scale the LHS/RHS with my cursor. But when I let go of the mouse click, the re-scale reverts back.

1913. LHS scale = independent
