HI I have checked and unchecked INCLUDE columns with no data and DO NOT DRAW COLUMNS WITH DATA and allow zero values but i still have areas on my charts where there has not been any volume or trades and the chart defaults to placing a dot or dash or hash mark on the chart. can anyone help me fix this. i just want BLACK blank space when no trades THANK YOU in advance. I am a fairly new SC user. |

You need to have both options for Include Columns with No Data and Do Not Draw Columns with No Data. Refer to the documentation starting here: Chart Settings: Include Columns With No Data (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Bar Period >> Chart Bar Settings menu) Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. I still cannot get this to work and i have really been trying to figure it out! no matter what i check or uncheck the hash marks show up when no trades or matches. it is a time based chart. obviously easier to see in the overnight session. ANother question. Any chance we can pay extra to get 500 ms time on our charts. 0-0-0-0 this would be the setting on intraday chart bar period please please please would be amazing thank you. I now you have a lot on your plate but this update would really help the community because we could really drill down on indicators and with some of the new ways the exchanges are aggregating data It is imperative for some to break it down. THANK YOU. I would be more than happy to test the beta version. |

This is not making sense to us. We see absolutely no problem with both of these options enabled to get the result that you want: Include Columns with No Data Do Not Draw Columns with No Data The millisecond timestamp capability is going to be coming soon. There is not anything we can do to help with this now. Although to be able to set chart bars to be based on those milliseconds is still another step and would have to come later after that.
