Main Instance Freeze When Using Sub Instance

On ver. 1879, when I create a second instance and open any chartbook, the main instance freezes and becomes "not responding", after which I have to force close the main instance.

It happens whether or not the main instance has an open chartbook.

It also happens when I open whichever chartbook on the second instance, so this does not seem to be a problem with studies in a particular chartbook.

When I downgraded to the current release (ver. 1875), the problem went away.

It's odd because when I created the second instance for the very first time earlier today and opened chartbooks, this did not happen. Let me know if you guys can recreate this problem.

When you notice this, go to the Windows Task Manager and let us know what you see for the CPU usage as a percentage for the main SierraChart.exe process.

Okay so I updated back to 1879 and tried it again.

To correct what I said in the OP, what I discovered is that the main instance actually freezes and becomes non-responding just from creating a new instance.

Opening a chartbook from the new instance is entirely irrelevant. The Main instance starts freezing around 3 seconds after the second instance is created.

In Windows Task Manager, the CPU usage for the main instance SierraChart.exe process was 16%.

The CPU usage for the second instance is 0%.

*edit I should clarify, no chartbooks at all were open in both the main instance and the sub-instance.

Ok this is information which gives us more of an idea about the issue. Would we be able to do a remote assistance session with you to look into this? We can set a time for that.

Yes remote assistance is fine and I'm free whenever since I trade full-time from home. Just give me instructions; and I live in Asia so phone call might be hard for you. My skype info is listed on my account details.
