Hi,

Is it possible to fix the padding percentage on the chart to a user defined number? Whenever I change this number on the scaling settings (to increase the padding percentage so the highs and lows on the chart are not right at the edge), go to another symbol, then come back, it has gone back to 2.000. I can't figure out how to fix it to the number I want (16 for instance).

I have tried to use the user defined range to emulate this but when going from symbol to symbol this does not work as they have different values.

Many thanks.

I'm looking back on my chart pictures as well and this has only started to occur since around when I updated to version 1875. Has anything changed in that release?

What I mean is that the fixed padding percentage seemed to have stayed fixed until just recently.

Ok I have rolled back to version 1869 and the issue has stopped. This was the latest version I needed the custom study to work.

Therefore it is likely an issue with one of the updates from 1869 onward.

go to another symbol, then come back, it has gone back to 2.000.

There is a reset that occurs when changing the symbol of a chart. This was recently added. We will have to add an option for this.

I would like to change the padding setting from 2 to 10 on my charts but often times and will take the hand tool and move the price action around to look at something in detail. after I am finished I usually double click on the right price column for it to go back to normal scale. But by doing this it reverts back to 2 from 10. I see where you have added a feature that allows it to not change with symbol is there something I am missing to be able to keep the 10 constant if I double click on price column to bring it back centered?

Thanks,

Doug

Yes double-clicking on the scale is going to reset that value.

Ok......

Is there a key stroke or function that I can use other then double clicking on the price action to bring the chart back into normal range after using the hand tool to move price action?

Thanks

So anytime you hit reset scales it changes it back to 2.000. Anyway to stop this and keep it at say 15 all the time?

I second this. Would love to change the default value to 10 each time I reset the scale.
Any quick fix? Perhaps the default value of "2" is in some config file somewhere?

Hi,
The new feature Scale Settings >> Default Scale Padding Percentage doesn't work.
Thanks.

Doesn't work for me too. It still defaults to 2% regardless of any value entered in Default Scale Padding Percentage

We will get this implemented. The setting was added but it is not yet used. This is now supported in version 2135.

I am using v. 2175. Chart Settings >> Scale Settings >> Default Scale Padding Percentage helps, but what I really need is a global setting that will be applied to charts that have not inherited that value and even to chartbooks I have not used in a while. Any hope? Thanks.
