There seems to be an issue with data update from IB that wasn't present in 1870.

Yesterday I upgraded to 1873 SC locked in download (with surprising pacing errors & a Market depth update message I hadn't been aware of previously). I went back to 1870 and all was fine.

Today I got an 'upgrade by 16th message' so I tried again. First I updated my data until the overnight close using 1870. This chartbook has hsi and hsi cash (daily & intraday). Its about 4 hours since the exchange closed from overnight trading.

I wonder if the issue lies in this area but I've uploaded the log. It has returned to apparently normal operation after the hist request timed out.

Have I got something turned on for one of my charts that affects 1873 but not 1870? I don't use market depth in any form, or even volume (time based price charts with mapping between them via dll).

That message regarding the new version and versions prior to 1873 being discontinued for BitMex users is only for BitMex users. You should not be seeing that. We are fixing that now.

Whatever issue you are having and you have not told us what that is, it is unrelated.

The issue was that 1873 locked up for 3 minutes whereas 1870 doesn't.

That is completely unrelated and it means simply that the Interactive Brokers system did not respond within the specified amount of time in the Data/Trade Service Settings. Check the historical data timeout you have set.

We have no control over that or have any understanding why the behavior on the IB side is the way it is. Follow the instructions here to download any missing data:

OK. I'd be curious about what was changed between 1870 and 1873 that makes IB react this way.

But seeing that there is no requirement to upgrade now, I guess I'll go back to 1870.

1874 is fine with IB Kiwi.
I've run it for 24 hours with no issues
