Compact Tool Values Window Question

Hi,

I have dual monitors and I'm using the compact tool values window on all my charts.

When I grab and move a chart from one monitor to the other though, the CTV window doesn't move with it.

So I'm having to frequently, manually rearrange it's position.

Is there a way to pin it to the chart, so that it stays fixed in one place?

Under Tool Settings, I checked "Save Tool Values Window Position For Each Chart" and "Save CTV Window Position for Each Chart."

But this didn't help at all.

Thanks,

ZS

When you move a chart within the same monitor you should see the Compact Tool Values window move with it. We have verified that but we did not try moving it to another monitor.

With my setup, when moving a chart within the same monitor, the CTV window doesn't move with it, nor when moving the chart to another monitor.

I have checked "Save Tool Values Window Position For Each Chart" and "Save CTV Window Position for Each Chart."

We do not notice any problem with this. It does work properly for us. Make sure you are actually looking at the compact tool values window which can be activated through Window >> Show Compact Tool Values Window. However, the Compact Tool Values Window must be contained within the chart window and cannot be even partially outside of it.

Refer to:
Chart Drawing Tools: Save Compact Tool Values Window Position for Each Chart (Global Settings >> Tool Settings >> General >> Chart Values)

It does not work in this case at all. You have to restore the actual chart window itself and move it around. You cannot move the main window and expect the Compact Tool Values Window to move with it.
