Hi,

I'm trying to find price data on futures options from 2017. Is this possible? When I search for symbols under "Futures Options" and select the applicable futures contract (CL), and click on "Get Options", nothing happens. My real time data feeds have lapsed, but I still have service time remaining (service package 5). I thought this was sufficient to use SC historical data. Please advise.

Thanks,

JD

We should have futures options data from 2017. Give us one of the contracts you want and we will see.

However, in your case because you are not subscribed to the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed you cannot search for the symbols but you can just manually enter them.

Ok. Specifically, I am looking for LOK7 P4500 (the monthly option on CL that expired 4/17/17 - the 45 strike put). I have tried multiple iterations of symbols, including LOK17 P4500.FUT_OPT.CME , but no luck (typically says download failed).

Thanks in advance for the help.

Sorry...I'm a bit confused. I thought historical data was included with the service package? Are you saying that I need to re-establish a real-time data connection in order to search for historical data (the data is there but search functionality is not)? Whatever the case, might you clarify the proper symbol for the above referenced option that I am looking for? Thank you.

We just have not yet looked to see what the data available is. We are doing that now.

Hi SCE,
Since my question is similar to the OP's, figured to ask here - I'm also looking for FOPs data, specifically on LME exchange's Aluminium futures, symbol 'AH' (https://www.lme.com/en-GB/Metals/Non-ferrous/Aluminium/Futures) - I'm assuming that the listing for it on the Real-time and Historical Exchange Data Feed Symbols page is 'Description: Aluminium High Grade Symbol: Q8'. If I click the link for listing options and select Q8G9 (Feb 2019 options expiration), only 6 contracts are displayed...even less for the other expirations.

I know that there are at least 60 contracts for this expiration...what might the reason be here that I can't see all contracts?

That particular type of data (Options data) and from that particular exchange is not part of our main offerings and that data comes from a external service. It is not something we can spend time looking into right now.

If you require this data, see if you can obtain this data from the supported Tele-trader service:

I have Denali and TT, I have been trying to pull historical options chain data, I can't find a way to pull the historical. Is there anything special I need to do or get to see the options?

You can access historical data for individual option symbols. Tell us one you are trying to get data for. If you are not sure what the symbols are, then refer to:
