Hello Support,

Since few days ago my charts are not reflecting proper amount for the NetPL field in the chart trading window. The amount is not being reset at the end of the trading session as it defined in the chart settings and when the trade is placed from the chart the amount is totally off (sometimes by thousands!). It is also irrationally jumps up and down by the thousands depending if the trade made is long of short. However, the P/L field above does show correct amount for each trade and reflects the trade value according to the chart action. Clearing the Trade Activity Log did not fix the problem.

I have not made any changes to the charts in weeks and have not upgraded to the new version. Currently running version 1850 (64-bit).

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Refer to:
Help With Daily Profit/Loss Value

This page explains all of the details related to this. Also we no longer recommend clearing any trade activity. That is considered an out of date procedure.

You might also want to update to the current version which is now 1856.

The link to the information page you have provided explains the logic and functionality of the NetPL and P/Lcalculation. However, it is not explaining what can possibly be the problem I am currently experiencing and how to deal with it. Just as an example, I have not started trading yet today but my NetPL window already showing -$2,112.50 (see attached image).

In addition to this, I have another computer that has the SAME chart book and SAME version of Sierra and it does NOT manifest the same problem. How is this possible? It sure appears that the problem is related to the local installation of Sierra on the current machine where the balances shown are not correct. It proves that this is NOT a server or broker related problem. I am using Transact Sym account on both machines with the same version of Sierra and same chart book. One of the machines has this problem, the other does not.

Please advise how to resolve this.

Thank you.

Did you read through each and every one of these steps here and any linked sections as well?:
Help With Daily Profit/Loss Value

You need to make sure there are no missing order fills and set the Order Fills Start Date-Time appropriately in the Chart Settings.

And this is the final step:
Finally, if support has referred you to this page, then as a matter of policy we do not provide any help beyond referring to this documentation with Daily Profit/Loss calculations. If you have a question about it and it does not look right, there is no further help we will provide.

It proves that this is NOT a server or broker related problem.
Actually it is because these services do not provide the necessary historical and reliable order fill data to do the calculations reliably.

I did read through the EACH and EVERY ONE of the steps listed in provided link, if I did not, WHY would I reply to you and state that the problem is STILL persists? I am intelligent enough to try and resolve the problem before bother you with unnecessary questions.....

You recommend that I need to make sure that there are no missing order fills, but how can this be done? The Order Fills Start Date-Time are not customized and set to default (blank).
You also seem to be missing my main point that I have another machine running side by side with the one I am having problem with (configured and connected in the SAME exact way and with the SAME chart books) and this machine dose not have any issues and is working properly, displaying correct NetPL information. If this would be related to the broker and missing trade information on the Transact side as you allege, then WHY would one computer with the same Sierra Charts configuration work properly and the other would not? If both machines are feeding off the same connection ID / password, same account information, same data feed, same broker and running the same version of Sierra WHY would one of them have a problem and another would not??? BOTH machines are connected all the time so there will be NO missing trade information that would cause the discrepacny.
