[User Discussion] - Problem applying studies to other studies - not aligning correctly

Hi,

I have 2 studies in region 2 that I'd like to apply linear regression channels to individually. I have the left scale enabled in settings and on the scale settings for study 1 I have it set to Auto scale and for study 2 I have Independent. This way the values for each is visible in left and right scales.

When I apply the channels to the studies using the same scale settings as their respective studies (Auto and Independent), the regression channel for the study set to Independent doesn't t align correctly but the one that is set to Automatic works great.

Is there a way to do this how I want?

If not possible, functionality to be able to lock studies to left or right scale (or better yet group's so you can have multiple) would solve this, not sure if it's something you can do or have on the wishlist already but it would be great to have

Thanks
S

You have the correct idea, and you are also correct about this not working when using Independent scaling for the 2nd study and the Linear Regression Channel, as these two studies will then be independent from each other.

The only solution to what you are trying to do is to set the 2nd study and the associated Linear Regression Channel to User Defined scales that have the same Top and Bottom Range defined.

Sure I tried that too, sadly the indicator has a daily range of 5000-10000 but on the timeframe I’m using it on it can be hundreds. So user defined scales would either constantly be needed to be adjusted just have the indicator be very flat with little visible movement in range.

Hopefully SC can see this area could be improved and put to good use

Thanks for your time and input
