You have the correct idea, and you are also correct about this not working when using Independent scaling for the 2nd study and the Linear Regression Channel, as these two studies will then be independent from each other. The only solution to what you are trying to do is to set the 2nd study and the associated Linear Regression Channel to User Defined scales that have the same Top and Bottom Range defined.
