LOading Time of Charts Since Update

Ever since the new update, I have an issue with the loading time of GER30 and Bitcoin. GER30 takes unusually long to load in comparison to the time it took before the update. The Bitcoin chartbook is now impossible to load unless it is run for hours.

I have been advised to return to the previous version as a temporary solution but I am hoping this issue would be looked into going forward for all concerned.

Thank you.

We need to understand this better. And it is very unlikely this would be an issue that we would need to resolve from our side. There is most likely another external issue for the problem.

When data is being loaded into a chart, there is a "Loading %" message. Are you referring to the time this takes to complete?

Yes, the "Loading %" message is stuck and does not load for Bitcoin. For GER30, this "Loading %" message takes much longer now to slowly load.

When you notice this problem, can you interact with the user interface of Sierra Chart?

And what is the timeframe setting of these chart bars? For example, are they one minute per bar? Tell us what the settings are.

No, if I try to click again then the message "not responding" appears.

Timeframe: Range per bar in True Ticks

Settings are from 5 to 200 ticks.

The 5 ticks chart loads fine. When the setting is greater than this, it takes exceptionally long time to load.

We see you are running version 1833 and we have become aware of a stability problem in this version with the Trades list. We want to rule this out as an indirect cause of the issue you are seeing.

We are releasing 1834 in about 20 minutes. We will follow up with you then.

After the 1834 installation and loading Bitcoin again, the log displays the following message:

"Out of order timestamps detected. Chart tool drawings and some chart studies may not function properly"

I have a feeling the log might have shown the same message prior to the 1834 update and when I first posted the message. Because the loading is the same now just like before- impossible.

This is not unusual with crypto currencies.

Re-download all the data in the chart by going to the chart and selecting "Edit >> Delete All Data and Download".

Because the loading is the same now just like before- impossible.
See if you still have a problem after reloading the data. And if so we would need to get the Chartbook to test.
