what could be the reason my chart does not copy drawings from another open chartbook for the same symbol?

The first thing to check is that you are using the correct format for copying drawings from another chartbook. You need to specify the Chartbook and Chart using the following format Chartbook2:3 where Chartbook2 is the name of the Chartbook and 3 is the Chart number. Refer to the following, particularly the 4th paragraph: Chart Settings: Copy Chart Drawings from Chart #'s (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Chart Drawings menu)
