It appears that "Flatten" does not send the "Close" execInst to Bitmex, instead it closes the open position with a normal market order. When it comes to Bitmex integration, the Close execInst (without quantity) is critical as this is the only order type that is not rejected during system overload.

SC is not responsible for Bitmex' server problems of course, but this is the only way to reliably close a position & you already implemented similar Bitmex-specific instructions for limit and stop orders.

Okay we will have a look at this. Should not be a problem for us to specify that. If it is a market order and if the Open/Close state is Close we should be able to specify that without a problem.

What we realized is that we cannot specify a zero quantity because when a market order is sent to an external service we do not know the reason it is being sent and we cannot not specify a quantity. The quantity must be specified.

But we have thought about this some more and we determined a solution and we will implement this in the next release.

just wondering what the solution was? it seems like when busy 'flattens' might not work as Bitmex isn't prioritizing it. But I understand that Bitmex is a terrible badly inefficiently programmed cryptocurrency exchange so there's nothing you can do. Thanks.
