The first thing to understand is that this particular Keyboard Shortcut is not setting the quantity to 1, it is setting the quantity to the value associated with Button 1 on the Trading Window. Refer to the documentation here on these buttons: Basic Trading and the Trade Window: Main/C >> Order Quantity Buttons

So check to see if when you select this keyboard shortcut that the first button is being selected on the Trade Window.

Also, keep in mind that if you have a separate Trading DOM window open, then you have to set the option for Trade >> Trading Keyboard Shortcuts Enabled on that particular DOM.

Yes I am fully aware it is about the quantity that is set to each button and not qty 1,2,3,4,5,6. Thats what I want to have.

Yes I have a separate DOM open and also there I enabled the trading keyboard shortcut but still it does not work.

Anyway in reality what I would like to have is the possibility to customize the trade window that can be attached to a chart. Because even when I use the "c tab" for my needs there is too much information on it and therefore takes too much space on my screen. So I am looking for a way to not use the DOM but the chart DOM and have a easy way to change the quantities set on the qty buttons, to buy and sell market, flatten and move to BE. So I thought of the keyboard shortcuts (although not my preference).

Alternatively I now thought I could just use a command bar and attach it to the left. But I can not choose (or at least dont find it) the qty buttons for a command bar. Is it possible?

Or do you have a better solution for what I am looking for?
Also is there a way to have the same settings for each Trade window attached (or not attached) to a chart?

Update to the current version of Sierra Chart following these instructions:
Software Download: Fast Update

If there still is an issue check the Window >> Message Log for the relevant error message in regards to this.

We will add control Bar buttons for the Trade Window Quantity buttons to the next release.

Yes refer to:

keyboard shortcuts:
I updated - still not working. I thought it was my foult as I only saw now that you differentiate between eg "1" and "num pad 1" and I tried with num pad but used the 1. still not working. now I took A for button 1 and B for button 2 and like that it works. ah - tried now and it also works with the numbers but NOT with the num pad numbers (but thats the one I would use)

to control bar:
If you do that (which is great!) it would be great to also have the following (if possible):

- Could you also add "use attached orders" , "support scale in", "support scale out" - and "hide pending attached orders"?

- great would be if for the quantity buttons there would be the possibility to automatically overtake for the button caption the qty that is set to those buttons. Of course I can maintain that also by just entering it as text (and I dont change those every day, so ...) but still its some source of error - just a nice to have.

- would also be great if one could add more than one separator in between buttons.

- one more nice to have would be "word wrap" for the button caption

and would it be possible to add the open position (or the word FLAT) - so what I see in a DOM first thing on top below the tabs - to the chart header?

Chart linking:
That might work, but I am already using the chart linking for other stuff and I do not link same charts right now as I would need to for same trade window settings. and as far as I can see I can "only" use one chart linking per chart, right? But well then I just need to maintain manually.

one more thing:
not 100% sure and I cant test right now as market closed, but I think so far when I have an open order with OCO childs placed. When I change the order QTY the QTY of the childs do not change (yes If I change the target, stop changes too). But is there a way/setting so that when the order qty is changed the OCO bracket changes to same QTY?

Just make sure you are not using server-side bracket orders:

Global Trade Settings Windows: Use Server Side Bracket Orders (if supported) (Global Settings >> General Trade Settings >> General)

That would be the only thing that might cause a problem with this.

Yes we should be able to add these.

I have added the QTY buttons to my control bar.
Would it be possible that if I press one of the buttons, that that button stays "pressed" - what I mean is that once I press a button it looks the same as the other five. But it would be helpful if I would see which of the 6 buttons is active at the moment.
