I've primary done intraday trading with SC only.

Are there any issues or limitations using SC for swing trading and holding overnight positions/orders, with CTS or other services?

Assuming Global PnL Management must be disabled, anything else to consider?

Would Trade Stats for Charts work correctly as the place to track PnL of open overnight/swing positions?

You really just need to look at the Trade Positions tab. Refer to the documentation here:
Trading Information Windows: Trade Positions Window

The Trade Stats for Charts tab is not going to be entirely reliable:
Trade Activity Log: Trade Statistics for Charts (Chart Stats) Tab
