Hello support;

After downloading the latest upgrade, version 1809, the volume profile on my DOM got larger. I have tried all the settings that I know of to bring it the font smaller but no avail. Something must have change my scaling after the upgrade.

Thank you
Johnny

There has been some internal changes to how fonts are handled as mentioned here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/Whats_New.php#SCVer1803

You just need to go into the Volume by Price study for the Trade DOM and adjust the Size/Width for the Volume Numbers Text and Colors Subgraph.

Hello Support,

I have the same problem since I've downloaded version 1820 - fonts are just way too big in the Volume by Price study on my DOM. I have gone to the Volume by Price study for the Trade DOM and tried to adjust the Size/Width for the Volume Numbers Text and Colors Subgraph but nothing happens - it just reverts to 0 and nothing changes. Please advise on how I can fix this as it is quite annoying and not an issue with the previous version I was using.

Thanks

We do not see this problem you are describing. You should be able to change the Size and have it stay.

Refer to:
Volume By Price Study: Volume Numbers Text Color and Size (SG7)

We cannot reproduce this and we have no one else reporting this. It also does not make any technical sense either.

Just in case anybody comes across this post in the future... I spent hours trying to decrease the font size (it was huge by default) and finally got it. The trick is that you have to set the font size >= 5 according to the link from Engineering above. Very counterintuitive but it works.

The Size setting sets the Font Size. If it is set between 0 and 4, then the font size is automatic and will change as the bar size changes. To manually set this, requires the use of value of 5 or higher. The size is a standard font point size. A recommended value would be 14 or higher. When set to a value of 5 or greater, the font will always stay the same size as the bar size changes.

Just in case, someone comes across this issue: "Fonts on the text over the Volume By Price study are too big and they won't change", here is the solution.

Follow the instruction here: Volume By Price Study: Volume Numbers Text Color and Size (SG7)

However, the trick is in the setting, set "Text Font Size" to 0 and then the controls in the Subgraph SG7 are now valid. Set the width there to 5 for super tiny and neat text overlay. Jesus, took me hours.
