Copy Trades to a Secondary Account in real time using SC

I will open 2 stock & futures accounts with Interactive Broker. Given my intraday trading system, I need the trades of 1 account to be copied automatically in the other account which I will hold Limited trade authorization in order not to delay with the execution from switching back and forth. Both accounts will have the same exact capital. Is this possible? If not, what is the closest/fastest solution I can get? Thanks |

This capability is not yet built into Sierra Chart, but it can be supported through a financial advisor account if you have that type of account with Interactive Brokers. This capability is not yet built into Sierra Chart,
Is this capability planned as a future enhancement? As it would be great and allow users to send trades to multiple accounts. Example: doing a Top Step combine and not having to miss placing trades in your own live account with a different broker. |

Yes it is. But only within the same Trading Service. So what you are thinking about doing would not be supported.

We see no reason why you should be doing a Top Step Combine in the traditional way if you are just doing the identical trades in your live account. Sierra Chart can upload your trading activity to your Sierra Chart account, and then that can be provided to Top Step Trader for independent review. We will work on documentation for this option. I have wanted to do a combine, but trading is 100% my income. Since I cant place trades on two separate SC platforms at the same time, I would have to put my income on hold, while doing a combine. If SC could support multiple accounts at the same time, that would be perfect. If I could log into each account thru one SC platform, set which account would be the master and slave if needed, make any symbol difference if required. Then just start trading for the day as I normally would. |

But if we can provide you access to an unalterable log of all of your trading through Transact, would that work for you? In this way you do not have to place trades on two separate platforms. So the idea is that Sierra Chart will capture your trading activity in this case you are with Transact, and it will be recorded on the Sierra Chart server and then you would have access to it and then you could present it to Top Step Trader or whoever and we would certify that this is an unaltered log from a live trading account. We would suppose we may have to get confirmation from Transact that the account number is a live genuine account number. But knowing how everything works, it is very easy for us to give a certification that this is unaltered trading live trading activity. So the question is, what is it that Top Step Trader using CTS or Rithmic is accomplishing beyond what we can do? We do not think there is anything. And then we could also develop the capability using Sierra Chart to pull that history so then any evaluator can use the full Trade reporting and Trade Statistic functionality we already have within Sierra Chart to provide useful reporting. ---- Could someone please tell us here what is it that you get out of Top Step trader from a technical perspective that we cannot already offer that we have explained here: Announcement: Realistic Futures Trading Evaluator Service Now Available Or that what we have described in this post where we can capture your trading activity that you already do with whoever using Sierra Chart and then show that as an unaltered log.
