Using IQ-feed. Why does the september contract get out of order like this?

I have set "continous contract to Date rollover, back adjusted" and 800 days to load.

In general none of the continuous futures contract functionality works with IQ Feed symbols. We do not recommend using it.

Re-download all the data in the chart by going to the chart and selecting "Edit >> Delete All Data and Download".

Not recommend using IQfeed?

Did not help to Re-download all the data unfortunately. Have the same chartsettings for XG# and it works fine.

If you are using IQfeed and the contract you are using is say ES and the symbol you are using is ES# then that is the continuous contract for ES in IQfeed (it has already been back adjusted, except for the front month). Then if you use the continuous functionality of the Sierra Chart it makes sense that this would create an issue. I may be wrong but if you want to use the continuous contract functionality from Sierra Chart then I would use the actual contract month.

We apologize. We recommend not using the Sierra Chart continuous futures contract functionality with IQ Feed because for the most part it is not actually set up for those symbols.

Tell us the symbol of the chart you are having a problem with.

If you dont recommend using continous futures contract, then how to get data for days back?

I am using BDZ18

I am new to Sierra but am familiar with used to use IQfeed. I would try this. Use the actual front month symbol for IQfeed (in this case it appears to be BDZ18) and then use the continuous contract functionality in Sierra Chart.

What I think is the issue is using the Continuous contract of IQfeed and the continuous contract functionality of Sierra at the same time.

Unless I am wrong (possible) then there should not be any conflict, unless there are problems with IQfeed symbols altogether which I would think unlikely.

We have now looked and we see that we have defined rollover rules for the IQ Feed BD futures symbol. Therefore you can reliably use the Sierra Chart Continuous Futures Contract feature.

But then again if there are no rollover rules defined for the symbol within Sierra Chart, it would be of no consequence to use the functionality in Sierra Chart. It just would not do anything.

This is what we currently see for that contract:

We want you to follow the instructions here to re-download the data for all contract months:
