Mouse & drawing tools disconnect

This is getting very frustrating. My mouse is sometimes 1/4 to 1/2 inch away from drawing, very hard to control where the drawing goes, as if it had a mind of it's own.

If you are referring to the vertical position, then do the following:

Uncheck the Tools >> Auto Snap options which are documented here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_Tools.html#Snapping

Disable Chart >> Chart Settings >> Advanced Settings >> Adjust Tool Values to Tick Size. It is also possible you do not have the proper Tick Size set.

No I'm referring to trying to dray trend lines on an angle.
