Hi, I want to display daily bars without the night session (RTH only). I cannot seem to eliminate the night session when I use the daily bar time period.

Also related to this. I want to be able to display the Volume by price on the Daily (RTH only chart) but I want the volume by price to reflect the intraday data for the Volume by price. Currently when I set the time period to daily the volume by price of each day is reflected by a single vertical line instead of actual volume for the day.

Thanks

For an RTH chart on U.S. products, you would use a 406 minute intraday chart and exclude the evening session.

You then set your start times to your time zone. Futures for example using EST: 09:30:00 to 16:15:00

When you apply volume by price to this chart, use Multiple Profiles Based on Bar Count and set the number of bars to 1.

Set Maximum Volume Bar Width Type to Period length.

Hi thanks for the help. To be sure I did this correctly I set the as indicated and then on the VbP Study I set the time period to Days with number of bars set to 1 and then Volume graph Period set to From start date- Time to end. to encompass all the data downloaded.

Is this correct.

Thanks.

Also I am not showing any volume profile for the bottom third of the bars and this data is not the very beginning data.

Also how can I peg the volume profile to the right margin and have it fixed there.

And which setting allows me to narrow the Volume profile width (pixel width)

Take a look at this chart. It is an RTH chart based. You'll need to change number of days, the start/end times for your time zone and the symbol used by your data provider/broker.

As far plotting the profiles to the right next to the bars themselves, I'm not sure you can do that (If you can, I'd like to know too). Only way I've seen that work is on a Market Profile chart and then adding volume profiles to it.

With regards to aligning the VbP to the right side, refer to the following:
Volume By Price Study: Right Aligning Volume Profiles with Space on Right Side of Chart

To control the amount of space that the profile takes up, refer to the following setting and the one immediately after it:
Volume By Price Study: Maximum Volume Bar Width Type
