Hi,

One of my friend is using a different software, and coloring of the daily volume profile can be done based on delta. -- > http://prntscr.com/kjf0k1
I am also focusing on the delta rather than the total volume to see where huyers are trapped and his VP looks really great. Is there a way I can do the same in SC ?

Thanks.

Yes. Refer to this Input setting with the Volume by Price study:

Thank you for the reply. The colouring is now based on the delta, the problem is that it doesnt matter if the delta is -1 or -10000, it will have the same color. Is there a was to use a lighter color if it is only -1 and a stronger color if it is -10000 as on the right side of my picture? http://prntscr.com/kjf0k1

This is only supported when using the Numbers Bars study.

Thank you for coming back with this. Is there a forum where I can request new features? I believe some of the IRT users would move to SC if we could make the chart look like this-> http://prntscr.com/knfkvd
This is an 8tick renko VP and a daily VP, and the colouring is based on the delta. I managed to do the 8tick Renko coloring using number bars , but it can use only 6 colors(3 for positive/ 3 for negative), and with pre defined limits.

So basically I would like to request :
1. Colouring of the VP based on the delta for VbP charts
2. Add more then 6 colours
3. Do the colouring automatically, not via pre defined quantities. (for eg based on max volume of that candle, or based on the average volume of the last X candles)

If you could consider these changes, I would be thankful for these.

Yes you can use the Numbers Bars study to do Volume Profiles for each individual chart bar as you apparently have done. And it supports a total of 8 colors. We do not know why you are saying 6. But we cannot increase it beyond 8.

What do you mean by "predefined limits". The thresholds are fully adjustable and there are so many coloring methods that we find it hard to believe you cannot do what you want. Refer to the documentation here:
Numbers Bars: Input Settings for Numbers Bars

Update to the current version for the latest functionality.

You may also find this method of coloring with the Volume by Price study useful:

Yes, if you could increase it, it would be great.

"What do you mean by "predefined limits"" -> Okay, so lets assume my treshold levels are 200, 800, 1400. It is summer, the market is super slow, and it takes at least 2000 lots to move the market by 1 tick. This means that I will always get the darkets color and I wont see the nuances unless I change the threshold levels manually to 1000, 2000, 3000. But once a Tweet comes out about lets say N Korea, the market becomes super wild for a week, and I will always get the lightest color. This means, I will have to go into the settings and change it to lets say 10, 50, 90 to be able to spont the nuances.

This is an extreme scenario, but what I am trying to point out is that liquidity is changing even during the day, and it would be better if the colouring could be done for eg based on max volume of that candle, or based on the average volume of the last X candles.

We are definitely not going to add more color settings. That is out of the question. Also we have not had any other requests for that.

Maybe you will want to use the coloring methods that rely on percentages and not actual values. They are all documented here:
Numbers Bars: Numbers Bars Background Coloring Methods

Also the Numbers Bars study coloring methods do not involve multiple chart bars. They are per chart bar.
