[Programming Help] - Is there a way to prevent a study recalculating on chart refresh?

Hi, I have a custom study that works on current data, however, when I refresh my chart or change the period, the study calculation takes a long time. I do not need the historical study info since I am using the study as a new trade signal. Is there a way to prevent the study recalculating for the entire chart history?
