Hi there.
How do I draw the overnight high and low onto my day session chart BEFORE the night session has finished.
I am using: Study/Price Overlay Study
to overlay the study from my overnight only chart... but the high and low are only changed on the day session chart AFTER the night session totally finishes, it only shows the night session from 1 day ago.
This is important because most people want to see the previous nights high and low before the day session starts in order to plan their trades for the day...

THanks for your help.

You can't do it the way you are trying to do it. Think about it - you are asking to display data from the Evening session onto the day session chart, but the day session chart does not have any bars yet to draw anything onto.

We recommend using the Text Display for Study from Chart. You will find the documentation here:

Use the High/Low for Time Period - Extended Study

Set Start Time to the time you want to start monitoring the High and Low IE. 18:00:00
Set End Time to the time you want to stop monitoring the High and Low IE. 09:29:59
Set Use Stop Line to YES
Set the Line Stop Time to the time you want the High and Low lines to stop being displayed on the chart. IE: 15:59:59

If you leave Display High Low Incrementally set to YES the High line will step up when a new high is made during your selected time period and the Low line will step down when a new low is made during the time period you selected

If you change the Display High Low Incrementally to NO, every time a new high or low is made the straight line will move to the new high or low. It will not display in a stair step fashion.

If you use the settings above, the overnight High Low will display through the end of the NYSE day session (Eastern Standard Time)
You can monitor the High Low for the time right after the close by adjusting the Start Time to 14:00:00

For the text display for study from chart study, i will have to check it out.

Richard.. you just outlined how to use the study i am alraeady using.. that doesnt work. The chart I am overlaying the onhi and onlo to is a daytime chart, as support said above, that doesnt work. I just put your settings directly on the day chart, and that doesnt work either.. unless im missing something you said. Also I'm not sure what you mean about adjusting the start time to 14:00.. why 2 pm? and I dont know what you mean by monitor high low for the time right after the close.

If you change your chart to a 24 hour chart, and optionally mark the beginning and ending times of the daytime session with a Time Line study, then the Overnight High and Low will work. Since your chart basically jumps from previous close to the next open, there is no place to plot the overnight prices, as was explained by support engineering.

My BUST on the 14:00! I'm sorry. I meant 16:00

If I understand what you are asking... You are trying to get the Overnight High Low to display from one chart to another chart that is NOT showing the overnight session.
Is this what you are trying to accomplish?

The first chart (on the left) is the eMini S&P 500 1 minute with Use Evening Session checked
The study is High/Low for Time Period - Extended Study
Start time 18:00:00
End Time 09:29:59
Number of Days to calculate 120
Use Stop Line NO
Line Stop Time 15:59:59
Display High Low Incrementally NO
Input Data High High
Input Data Low Low
Friday Evening Extends into Sunday NO

The second chart (on the right) is the eMini S&P 500 1 minute with Use Evening Session NOT checked

The Study is Study/Price Overlay
The only input I set was Study to Overlay

I set that to ESU8-CME 1 Min #1 (The first chart)
and High/Low for time period extended (The study)

I think you can see the High Low for the evening session on the first chart are extended through the day session
The second chart has those High Low lines displayed even though the chart is set to NOT use the evening session
