I noticed when looking at my Windows Defender list, I wanted to make sure SC was included in the "Exceptions"

I noticed (see attached pic) that two SC's are open.
I have my normal SC open.
In SC>Help>"About", it says 32 bit. I could've sworn I downloaded the 64 bit version (I obviously did, but I thought that was the one I was using.)

Are those TWO Sierra Charts supposed to be Open?

I'd prefer using the 64 bit, but what Ive read from your info, that it doesn't make a big difference, unless I'm writing a lot of code. (I'm not, unless you count using the Simple alerts provided (I have over 80 studies running in my Studies Windows).

Is there a potential problem with both of them accessed? IS my Taskbar icon opening both?
(I didn't think I had to erase the 32bit b4 downloading the 64)

This is explained here:
Software Download: Difference Between 32 and 64-bit Versions

You can use either the 32 or 64 bit version and both are present at the same time.

Thanks for your reply. Some FYI I noticed for the systems.

1- I ran both 32 and 64 bit systems separately at different times/days and noted their performance in Task Manager,
32 bit= 25% CPU, 382% memory
64 bit= 25% CPU, 218% memory

For my 6RAM, i3, 64bit WIN10 laptop, the 32 bit performed better....or did it?

My question is, I have read on some blogs that it running MORE memory is actually better bc its accessing more to help run. This doesn't make sense to me, thinking if it needs it, it will use, therefore more memory used is bad. Can you clear this up?

2-Also I noticed that on the 32 bit only, it has this annoying pop up of "Save All" after I closed my TA DOM (did nothing with charts, just finished trading, but want my charts to remain open) Minor annoyance since I can just click no, but at times it can be confusing as to did it mean "Save ALL" to the DOM (yes, I know the DOM has a save all too, but this is a pop up on SC). So at times Ive clicked yes and it closed out my SC unnecessarily. It doesn't do it on the 64 bit.

Regards
