It seems as if everything is locked in, I don't know what just happened. Earlier today I was able to move and adjust the profile but now when I click over it with the mouse nothing happens. Suggestions

As long as it was a profile drawn manually, on the chart, you should be able to select it and here is the documentation for that:
Volume By Price Study: Modifying Manually Drawn Volume Profile

If there is a problem, then we just recommend removing it through the Analysis >> Studies window and then manually draw a new Volume Profile.

yes, i have the same issue many times. Profile becomes unselectable, but can still edit through the studies menu. Seems like a bug.

On a side note. It would be good to allow a profile to become unselectable. For instance, I have many charts where I am showing the volume profile for an entire area, back several months, and the profile is displayed on the right of the screen. Many times I have accidentaly selected that profile (since it is the complete screen), and when i unclick it to move it back, it thinks i am selecting a specific end date/time instead of simply not wanting to touch it.. so when i look at it a few days later i will realize it is no longer automatically adding the new bar data as part of the volume profile.

Knowing how this functionality is implemented, and we have never observed a problem, it is much more likely that there is another explanation. Not a bug.

When you have this we need to get that particular chart from you. Follow these instructions:

What is described in posts #6 and #7 is normal functioning and is not the same as what was described originally.

In these cases you are duplicating the Drawn Profile from the Study Selection window. In doing so, you are creating a new Study, and not a new drawing. Therefore, those new Volume by Price studies are not selectable as drawings, as they are not drawings.

It is not possible to duplicate a Drawn Volume Profile. That is not supported. You would just have to draw a new one where you want it.

If you have 'Chart / Hide Chart Drawings' turned on, you will be able to draw and see the volume profile, but you won't be able to select or edit it.

May not be the OP's exact issue but If you intend to keep your Profiles free-form and selectable: I was able to rectify my similar situation by making sure that "Use Separate Profile for Evening Session" and "Exclude Evening Profiles..." are both turned off.
