Is there a study for the Running P/L (C) found in the Trading Activity Log?

I was going to try to write a custom study to fulfill my request. I tried to open the TradingActivityLog.Dat file, but all that contains is the trade history data. (Thought there might be a reference to the Running P/L function) I don't know where the Running P/L function is located. Could you point me to the Running P/L function or provide be with a CustomStudyDLL that does what I am requesting, or point me to someone that could help?

Yes there is.

The study you will want to use is Trading: Closed Profit/Loss

This is not what I want. Trading: Closed Profit/Loss gives me information for that chart. I want the RUNNING P/L as that accounts for all markets.

On the "Trade Statistics tab" in the "Trade Activity Log", there is a cell (B,6) at row "Total Profit/Loss for Closed Trades", column under "All Trades" that has a numerical value in it.

Is there a study that I can use in the spreadsheet that references this number?

This data is already outputted to the sheet when using the Spreadsheet System for Trading study.
Spreadsheet Systems, Alerts and Automated Trading: Cumulative Closed Profit/Loss [J11]

There are also the Trade Data studies you can use:

We will add a spreadsheet cell to the next release to provide this data:

How do I get this current, consistently changing, Portfolio Running P/L number as a study so that I can make spreadsheet formulas off of?

It will originate from the same data that is displayed on the Trade >> Trade Activity Log >> Trade Stats for Charts tab.

Is this information now also accessable without using spreadsheets?
[2018-11-19 21:13:17]
User612649 - Posts: 40
@User212764 - It is available in 1842 and up under Trade > Trade Activity Log > "Trade Stats for Charts" (or two trades over to the left under "Trade" tab)

Engineering,
My question was, How do I get it as a study (or in the J column) so I can work with it.

After upgrading to 1844, it is still not in the spreadsheet, or J column, or any study such as Trading: Running P\L.

After re-working the trade tab (Nice work by the way. Looks good with the separation.) this should be on the tip of someone's fingertips so making this "Trade: Running P\L" study shouldn't be a problem. <fingers crossed>

Please advise.

You could write something that could be put on the About Us page:

Just post it here and then we can add it there.

Thanks for this. Possible to add it to a standalone study (for non-spreadsheet users)?

I could write a whole whitepaper on the things I find outstanding about your product. Lean, file struture/management, ease of backups, speed because written in a real low level programming language, runs on server, in-app updater, automation, documentation,, more studies than I care to count, user contributed studies, ability to write own studies with build in compiler. (What seriously!!!!) :)

Finally something done right. An intelligent, feature/function rich piece of software that hasn't had features/functions stripped away, hidden, or decommed to be dumbed down (insulting the intelligence of those that have taken the time to understand technology) like most technology companies have done in the past decade. In my option, you guys rank up there with Google and AWS in the technical world.

Thank you upper management for staying true north with a real application and not selling out to every sales guy that walks in the door trying to sale you the next greatest watered/dumbed down piece of fad tech. True Upper Mangement, not just a title.
Thank you engineering for being real engineers and building something complexly simple, smart, advanced. True Engineering, not just a title.
Thank you support for keeping us pointed in the right direction and explaining the hundreds of options and features that you offer. True Support, not just a title.

A man is only as good as the tools he uses. Thank you for providing me a great tool.
You could take all the other trading platforms and put them together and they still would not be as good as SC. #LongLiveSC

In the next release we are going to be adding the corresponding ACSIL function.

Also, we realize what we provided you was a Daily Net Profit/Loss. But as we understand you do not want it to reset daily? So we have to add another spreadsheet cell for this.

That is correct. I do NOT want it to reset daily. Could you please let me know when you add the new cell to the spreadsheet that does NOT reset daily.
I/103 : Daily Net P/L (Resets Daily)
I/104 : Closed Net P/L (Want this number that does not reset daily)

This has already been added. Both of these cells are now in 1847:
All Symbols Daily Net Profit/Loss (read-only):
All Symbols Cumulative Net Profit/Loss (read-only):

In this case all symbols just refers to the charts which are open and are tracking their own Trades list. A symbol will not be counted twice in this case, just once.

This is still not right. I don't know why this request is so difficult to understand and has been ongoing for 6 months.

All I am looking for is a spreadsheet study (or column/row) for the data located at Trade Activity Log > Chart Stats > Total (Currency Value) Closed P/L .
The same data is also located located at Trade Activity Log > Statistics > All Symbols > Closed Trades Profit/Loss .

Every time I reopen my charts, cells 104 and 105 reset, so it is not referencing Total (Currency Value) Closed P/L or Closed Trades Profit/Loss . It is performing some calculation and I just want it to reference Total (Currency Value) Closed P/L or Closed Trades Profit/Loss

Total (Currency Value) Closed P/L = 625
Closed Trades Profit/Loss = 625
All Symbols Daily Net Profit/Loss = -56
All Symbols Cumulative Net Profit/Loss = -56
