Hello,

I am a very active Futures trader. At the moment I am actively talking to MBF Clearing Corporation about switching my current trading activity from Infinity Transact to MBFCC. MBF Clearing Corporation is an Introducing Broker (IB) with a clearing relationship with FC Stone). I would like to activate a direct SC account which has NO functionality limitations rather than using Infinity Transact White Label version of SC and move all my trading accounts to MBFCC.

My two main questions are:

1. Do I need to have an external trading service and trading platform (like CTS-T4, CQG or similar) in addition to direct SC account or I can just use SC direct account and charting platform connected to MBFCC to facilitate my trades?

2. I am planning on using Low-Cost Connection Model to subscribe for unfiltered SC Data Feed of Historical and Real-Time Futures Data from CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX exchanges and probably some indices like $VIX, $ADDN, ADV-NYSE, DECL-NYSE, etc. There are different pricing options available for the data feed. Can you please explain what is the difference between 100, 200, 200....500 Real-Time Symbols and how many I may need based on the aforementioned requirements?

Thank you.

Yes, we did hear from them, and provided them these details:

Regarding the call, since the user is coming from an affiliate they need to follow the instructions here to migrate over to a direct account:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/DirectAccount.html (If you need any help with this let us know)

If they will be using CTS they can find complete setup instructions here:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/CTS_T4.php#SetupInstructions

This is information about the low-cost connection model mentioned in the call:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/CTS_T4.php#LowCostConnectionModel_Instructions (recommended if they are doing a lot of trading and want the best data feed)

The pricing of Sierra Chart can be found here:

To answer your questions:

1.
I can just use SC direct account and charting platform connected to MBFCC to facilitate my trades?
Yes.

2.
. Can you please explain what is the difference between 100, 200, 200....500 Real-Time Symbols and how many I may need based on the aforementioned requirements?
For someone trading futures, 100 symbols is more than sufficient. This means you can receive real-time data on 100 symbols at the same time.

Thank you for your quick reply, I appreciate it.

So, just to clarify....the external Trading Service like CTS-T4 or CQG or even Transact for that matter will only provide additional stand-alone independent trading platform with DOM and other features but will NOT be necessary if I use Sierra Chart to trade MBFCC account directly, correct?

I would much rather have a simplified solution consisting only of Sierra Charts than running another independent platform in addition to SC which happen to already have everything I need and is perfectly capable of managing and displaying trades and orders.

Just wanted to make sure I understand the architecture correctly and not missing any components.

Thank you.

Hello support,

I have one more question related to this subject...

In a scenario where I would use CQG data feed to power the Jigsaw Trading order entry interface - daytradr, will I be able to use the same CQG data feed to power the Sierra Charts platform or do I need to purchase a separate data stream for SC?

Also, assuming the above scenario, if all orders to MBF (or any other FCM) are routed by CQG from Jigsaw daytradr platform, will the Sierra platform (assuming it is using the same CQG data feed) recognize and display on the charts all working / filled orders? And vice versa – If trade is entered directly from Sierra Chart, will it be reflected on the Jigsaw daytradr?

The only reason I am considering this scenario (using CQG data feed instead of SC Low-Cost Connection Model) is because Jigsaw daytradr doesn't integrate at the moment with Sierra Charts

Thank you in advance for your answer!

Yes you can.

Theoretically yes but CQG is not going to allow two connections to the same username. Maybe you can get two usernames from CQG connected to the same trading account.
