Hi

I added the 'Standard Deviation Bands' study and applied it to the Ask/Bid Volume Difference Bars study. I've set the length of the SD Bands study to 500. If I change the length to let's say 1000, the bands extend even less. When I set the length to 300, it will extend but the value of the SD Band will decrease (i.e. the line will move lower assuming you look at the upper band) which I don't want. When doing backtesting, the SD Bands don't extend to the end. I need this in order for the formula to read the buying / selling conditions correctly. How can I make the SD Bands extend?

Are you referring to extending towards the beginning of the chart?

You need to load more data into the chart. Refer to:

If you are referring to extending to the right of the chart, then changing the Length value would not have any impact on how far the bars extend. Instead, you need to change the Subgraph Draw Style to Line Extend to Edge. You can find the documentation for this here:
Chart Studies: Line Extend To Edge (ACSIL: DRAWSTYLE_LINE_EXTEND_TO_EDGE)
