Hello, I and other traders in our community, have problem with sierra chart scanning and screening. We have trading system with some simple conditions set in chart settings – alerts and the same conditions are in study indicator (color bar based on alert conditions). When we scan whole SaP500 stocks there are different signals. We know that for example today, there must be 13 stocks with entry signal, but when we scan all 500 stocks there find in alert manager only 5-8 etc. not all of them. For several scannings from 10 and higher still different results, but never find all signals. But when I know which stocks are missing and I find them in watch list, and click on the missing tickers, alert manager suddenly recognize entry condition and alert manager beeps. With older version of SCH everything works good, when I update sierra, the problem has began. Some traders have this problem with older sierra chart. Do you know how to fix it?

Okey, I tried disable downloading data during the scan in chart settings-advancet settings - disable data file updating and unchecked allow real time updating of historical chart (for all charts in the chartbook), then I downloaded data over edit- Download Daily Data for Associated Watch List Symbols, then start scan asociated watch list and there are still the same results, for today must be there on SaP500 11 tickers with entry condition, I made 10 scannings and none of them find all 11 tickers. Some of results the same, some have missing tickers, but scan find 8 to 10 from 11 tickers, so please do some testing and fix the problem. Thank you.

The documentation does not say this:

- disable data file updating and unchecked allow real time updating of historical chart

Enable those options.

Also the last time this was reviewed a few months ago, there was an issue which was resolved and at this point there are no outstanding issues. We just ran multiple tests now without any problems.

In your case it is clear that the problem is that when you stop and go to a particular symbol, that the real-time received data for the symbol is altering the chart and causing the alert condition to be TRUE when otherwise it was not during the scan. The scan will be based on the historical data that was not updated with real-time data. During a scan, while real-time data may be subscribed to, it does not get loaded into the historical daily charts.
