Hi,

I have updated Sierra to last version and I have lost all my language customizations. I mean, not all, but at least a 60% so I have to translate everything again. Is there any way to reuse the translations I had?

Thanks

No, the problem is not solved with 1736. I have less holes, but I have still many.

Too much work to the trash.

The first thing to do is do not make any changes in Global Settings >> Customize Menu Items so there is no possible disruption to the customizations you have already done.

And make a backup of the MenuCustomizations.XML file in the Sierra Chart folder.

That file will not have changed when updating.

Also for the record, we do not know why there is a problem. That is not clear at this point in time.

I had a MenuCustomizations.XML file in Sierra Chart Folder. Yes, I have made changes in Customize Menu Items. But when I have seen your message, I have closed Sierra, deleted MenuCustomizations.XML, copy MenuCustomizations.xml from a backup, started Sierra, Uodate to prerelease. Still, many translations have been replaced by blanks

Could you provide us your MenuCustomizations.xml file from your backup so we can see why you would be having a problem with it on the latest version.

Attach it following these instructions here:

Well, I think I have found a clue about what's happen with the file. Maybe is not the cause, but there is something strange.

I had one xml file with the translations. Call it 1.xml. Have a copy in other place. I open Sierra and there are many blank holes. I make some modifications. Now, I have file 1.xml overwritten.

Well, the codification of both files is different. When I opened the very first 1.xml with notepad, I see Menú Gestión in a line. If I open the new XML file with notepad, in this same place I see Menú de Gestión

The codification of text file is different. Maybe this has something to do with it.
