Hello,

I currently use Sierra Charts Service Package 3 with the included SC data service. I would like to put more than 1000 Symbols into my Watchlist for scanning and therefore I need end of day data for the Stock symbols in my Watchlist. Which package do I need to increase the daily limit of 1000 symbols to lets say 5000?

Thank you!

Regards

For this you need to activate the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed real-time data connection for 10 symbols(25 USD/month). You can do this here:

Do not activate any exchanges. That 10 symbol limit only applies to real-time data which is not relevant in this case.

Thanks. So when activating Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed real-time data connection for 10 symbols(25 USD/month) I will be able to get end of day data (high low open close and correct daily volume) of all stocks traded on nyse, nasdaq and american stock exchange?

Thanks for support

You may still encounter the symbol limit with this many symbols over a short time and would have to delay the rate of downloads and there is a procedure for doing that.

But basically you want to add the symbols to the Associated Watch List in a chart and run a scan to perform the data downloads:

http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SwitchingSymbols.html#AssociatedSymbolList

And use a delay between the historical data downloads by adjusting the Chart Update Interval directly on the chart itself:

We need to document this.

Thanks for reply. Can you please tell me what delay I have to set in order to make this working? I think the total amount of symbols in my watchlist will be around 9000.

I would not mind to pay extra fee in order to make the scan working as fast as possible.

Would appreciate a fast solution.

Thanks

Our data provider is Barchart and we see they have a limit of 1000 queries per hour. So this would mean 9 hours. That is just not practical.

So we need to determine a different solution. We need to think about this.
