Hello,
I wanna use MACD of a chart to overlay the MACD on a destination chart, but the other chart must be within the same Chartbook.
How to?

Ty all!

Are you using the Study/Price Overlay study? Are both charts using the same timeframe? Are you trying to overlay the entire MACD study from the other chart book or are you just looking to output values to the primary chart? What problems are you having specifically?

Perhaps if you narrow down your question someone can help point you in the right direction. Also, I assume you read this—>

Study/Price Overlay Study

Hello,
thank's for interesting in my question.
Yes I read Study/Price Overlay Study
It's written : Study to Overlay: This Input is for selecting the specific study overlay from another chart within the same Chartbook. The other chart must be within the same Chartbook.

I tried to link the chart 1 and 2 but no way to make it. This is my problem.

Cheers

Step #1 Add the Study Study/PriceOverlay to the chart you want the other charts study to display on.

Step #2 Open the new study and on the Settings and Inputs tab select Study to Overlay on the Input Screen

Step #3 On the bottom of the window there are 2 drop down boxes. Select the chart that contains the study you want to reference in the first window and the specific study on that chart in the second box.

Step #4 Choose where you want the study to display in the Chart Region in the center left of this window. Adjust your parameters (leave the defaults on at first) and push Apply and it "should" do what you're looking for.

See my examples highlighted on my attached images. As an example I added a stochastic from a Tick chart to my Renko chart. The upper stochastic is part of the Renko chart. The lower stochastic is from the other (Tick) chart. Because of the nature of Renko and Tick charts the lower study will NOT look like it does on the Tick chart but it DOES accomplish what you asked for (as far as I can tell).

I hope that helps -- -Scott
